Monty Desai - Head Coach


Monty had been an understudy to the legendary and visionary WCA coach shri Hanumant Singh for four years. Qualified level 2 coach certified by BCCI topped both level 1 and level 2 exams, Monty along with Mr Singh formulated the inaugural WCA programme designed for first class teams from around the world to go to other parts of the world purely to learn a variety of techniques.

Monty has been teaching the following first class teams who have visited the various WCA centres around the world Essex CCC, Durham CCC, Surrey CCC, Middlesex CCC, yorkshire, hampshire , MCC, ECA Academy, NSW University. This also included the likes of Alistair Cook and Ravi Bopara who all went on to play for England after they visited the WCA.

Monty has also worked closely with a number of international coaches Andy Flower,Alan Butcher, John Childs, Graham Gooch, John Emburey and Jonty Rhodes. Monty now resides in the USA and has taken over the WCA operations, based in Atlanta with the goal of opening a host of WCA "Cricket Learning Centres".

Romi Bhinder


Romi is an integral part of the WCA team, particularly focused on the formation of franchises and new projects in India. Romi has played cricket all his life, having also played club cricket in the UK, represented Vidarbha, Maharashtra, and Nagpur University at various district levels. Romi like other WCA members is passionate about cricket and sport, and has over the years developed an efficient team around him, which effectively go around the country conducting road shows to spread the gospel of cricket and teach the art of the WCA way of learning. Romi is currently also working on several early stage projects for the larger group the Institute Of Sport. He is responsible for the new Residential Academy which is based near Nagpur in the state of Maharashtra. He has also provided a variety of support services for a reality TV show based on cricket, which was a huge success across India. In addition he has also facilitated various functions during franchise selections and trials in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Furthermore, he has worked as a Liaison Officer with the Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals in season one and as an Assistant Manager for the same franchise in season three. Romi holds a Masters degree in Sports Psychology from the University of Maharashtra.

Dr Neeta Adhau


Dr Neeta started at the WCA as a resident psychologist and through her own initiatives has transformed her role to include critical administrative and marketing functions. She works alongside Romi in the building of the franchise business as well as leads the creation of new projects. She has counseled a number of Vidarbha and University teams. In addition she has worked as the Logistics Manager for the Indian Premier League (IPL) Franchise, Rajasthan Royals in season three of the IPL. She is assisting Romi in building the Residential Academy near Nagpur in Maharashtra. Further, she has also taken on various support roles during the conducting of a reality TV show based on cricket. She has presented many papers at national and international conferences on child psychology and holds an honors bachelor's degree from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. She also holds a masters degree in Clinical psychology from the University of Maharashtra and a Doctor's degree in Sports Psychology also from the University of Maharashtra.

Rajan Nair (CEO)


Raj Singh Dungarpur Cricket School Of Excellence

Rajan Nair, is a former Executive Member & Media Director of the Vidarbha Cricket Association, and the BCCI Media Committee Member (Central Zone). Rajan has been associated with the Press Trust of India since 1979, this is in addition to his vast experiences handling International Cricket Matches (Test and ODI) at Nagpur and Central Zone Centers for the Vidarbha Cricket Association and the BCCI.

Farhad Daruwala (Asstt. Director Coaching)


Farhad has been undergoing his apprenticeship in cricket coaching at the World Cricket Academy (WCA) for the past ten years, and has now graduated into the position of an Assistant Director of Coaching. In addition to his coaching role, he is also responsible for logistics management for a variety of sports at the Institute Of Sport (IOS).

His specialization is in the area of bowling, and particularly fast bowling. Farhad has also qualified from IOS's own coaching programme specially designed for managing children and young groups, and Farhad now takes on the entire responsibility for all WCA's junior coaching programmes across the world.

Shantanu Ghosh (Coach)


Mr Shantanu Ghosh is from Chhattigarh, currently coaching State U-19 team for the past 5 years. He is a level B coach and has also passed level A umpiring examination. He has done Child Protection course from Essex.
