Institute of Sport since its
inception continues to sponsor a local village
cricket team, it constitute a total of twenty five
boys per year and each year the boys go on to
represent the district and the state at various
levels. This year four players are representing the
U19 team in the district. Four are representing the
U16 team of the district and one of the boys has
gone on to represent Vidharba State U13 team. We are
always very proud to continue this programme which
started from the inception of the Institute and
continues to inspire not just us in our cause to
improve lives in the villages around India, but also
thousands of children in the village who aspire to
get on the team. We will continue to sponsor this
team as a cornerstone to our efforts to showcase the
possibilities for children and bring joy in their
lives.
The academy Raj Singh Dungarpur Cricket School of Excellence
is dedicated to Hon Late Shri Raj Singh Dungarpur, former BCCI President and one
of our founder
members, whose inspiration led us to working for the rural talent in our
country.
The ground is dedicated to Late Hon Shri Hanumant Singh,
the coach par excellence whose cricket related ideas are propagated by
this organisation.
A section is purely dedicated to the Little Master -
Sachin Tendulkar.
The staircase leading from restaurant to
the residential wing displays the 708 test wickets of the Master of the
spin: Shane Warne. He donated a personal account of the wickets taken by
him: Warne Recollections, autographed balls, t shirt, shoes etc.
Room 1 named after Yusuf Pathan, Boom boom Pathan.
Room 2 is for Shane Watson, who has donated a television, a music system, a
coffee machine, his leg guards used while playing World Cup 2011, his helmet, an
autographed t shirt, & a bat.
Room 3 is dedicated to Shaun Tait who has donated a television, a music system,
a coffee machine, his shoes, T shirt, and autographed bat for the academy
players.
